The lemon detox diet (aka lemonade diet, master cleanse diet, lemon juice maple syrup diet, lemon juice diet etc.) is a cleansing and detox diet similar to a juice fasting diet.

Following a lemon detox diet program requires a great deal of will power. The success rate is not high (people really battle through the first 3 days) as this is largely a fasting diet. Lemonade Detox Diet Recipe & Program

The lemonade detox diet program consists of three steps:

1) The lemon detox diet recipe (lemonade diet ingredients):

  • 2 Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice (organic)
  • 2 Tablespoons of maple syrup (organic and Grade B)
  • 1/10 Teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper
  • 10 oz (300ml) of filtered water and Not bottled water

Drink 8-12 servings of lemonade a day. If you make a big mix to save time you should make sure to keep it refrigerated. Do not keep more than a one day supply as the lemonade will lose its essential nutrients.

The lemonade mixture is surprisingly tasty as the cayenne will give it a tangy flavor! If you don't like the taste you can also buy some cayenne pepper capsules and take them with each glass of lemonade.

2) A herbal laxative tea (found in most herbal or grocery stores) should be taken in the evening just before bed time. The laxative will help with constipation due to lack of fiber.

3) Saline or salt water mixture should be taken first thing in the morning. The mixture should consist of of 2 level teaspoons of uniodized sea salt and a quart of lukewarm water.
