The first time I heard about losing weight with Ice Cream I thought it was some April Fool's Joke.
I mean come on, who hasn't had some fantasy about losing weight through ice cream. I've had it since childhood!

Of course when I heard about the guys at Protein Freeze I also thought they were insane, but there was no way on this planet that I wasn't at least going to have a look... You know, curiosity and the cat and all that. Except this time curiosity didn't kill the cat, or even add a pound to it's lovely feline waist.
Curiosity was a kind friend in the disguise of a fudge popsicle!

I checked out the ingredients of this Protein Freeze and thought hmm... OK, I can see why it could be healthy, but I bet it tastes like cr&p! Nothing that healthy, and that supposedly satisfying, in my lifetime has ever had less than a thousand calorie tag attached to it!

So I got them to send me over some free samples...
Halleluyah! Finally the day arrived, and I kissed the post man.

Without further ado, or formalities, I proceeded to whip up a batch of my secret Ice Cream Goodies.
That evening after supper I told my wife I had a treat for her. She eyed me suspiciously like I was wearing a pink G-string at the beach (she knows me too well).

Of course she almost beat me up when I produced my treasure. She told me there was no way she was going to eat that, not on her present regime.
I had to actually physically produce the free samples and show her the ingredients and then show her their website. (Sheezz, have a little faith.)
Needless to say after our first bites we were hooked.
Delicious is all I can mumble inbetween bites of my Fudgesicle.

But don't take my word for it (not many do, it's a sad state of affairs really and I don't know what I did to deserve this reputation, anyway I digress...)

And when your metabolism decreases, your body burns less calories. And that means (you guessed it) that once you stop dieting you will be left with a slower metabolism and you will have to eat even less than before to maintain your weight!
Not fair, but it's your body's survival mechanism kicking in. This goes back to the days of our ancestors who truly had times of "feast or famine".

The way to beat this is to eat to lose weight!. You have to eat the right foods, but without fasting.

2. Truly quick ways to lose weight and have an effortless weight loss

Weight Loss 4 Idiots is not a fasting plan. Instead it focuses on feeding you good, nutritious foods which you will eat often enough not to feel hungry. In fact, you will be eating four times a day, every 2.5 hours. There is no counting calories or controlling portion sizes.

3. 11 days on, three days off

What most folks like about the plan is that you don't have to follow it continually, the plan allows for those days of indiscretion... And in any case they do attempt to incorporate your favorite foods. And if if there are foods you like but aren't on the plan, take heart, after 11 days you are allowed three days of food freedom. 4. Fastest way to lose weight?

There are many testimonials from people who have lost 10 pounds in the 11 days while on the plan. But remember, it's also the least bothersome way that I know of to get the results. Fastest way to lose weight:

Time magazine recently caused an uproar in the weight loss world with an article about why you won't lose weight just through exercise.
Actually, I’m not sure why everyone is so upset, I happen to agree.  Basically the article is saying that you can't lose weight and keep it off if you don't adopt healthier eating habits.  (If you've subscribed to my newsletter then you'll know that my own experience confirms this.)

Of course a very crude, but pertinent example is the fact that even though the US fitness industry has rapidly expanded over the last 20 years so has the average waistline.  Obesity rates are higher now than they ever were.


The fact remains that no matter how much you exercise, if you have a poor diet, you will not lose weight.  Let me repeat this, as I know from personal experience, there's no way that you can exercise enough to lose weight.  (And then, which normal 9-5 individual would have the time to spend on all that exercise?!)


There's no avoiding it, Nutrition is absolutely key.

And if I'm put on the spot and really had to allocate an importance to the two I would say 70% nutrition and 30% exercise, but really, this differs from individual to individual and depends on their body fat percentage, age, fitness level etc.

So there you have it. Small changes in nutrition make the biggest difference. While you should still workout often, you should always consider your health first, and not necessarily weight loss...

Fastest way to lose weight: Swallowing Parasitic Worms! Insane, but read on...

People keen to lose weight in Hong Kong have been swallowing parasitic worms!!
Apparently the locals like the idea as you can continue to eat the same amount but still lose weight.  

This is where our protaganist takes the stage...the Ascaris worm, a giant intestinal roundworm that grows to lengths of 15-inches.  

Of course, there are serious health complications, like diarrhea, vomiting, malnutrition, biliary obstruction, pancreatic damage, the possibility that it could invade other organs, and the 200,000 or so eggs that each worm will lay every day inside your body!  Luckily, the worms can be killed with medication, but due to their extreme size it may require surgery to remove them!

I think I'll stick to my Ice Cream diet :-)
